Why 10 Gt as the target?
The Earth naturally absorbs about 10 Gt of CO2 per year through its oceans and forests. If our annual emissions fall to this level, atmospheric CO2 concentration stabilizes — and with it, temperature. Today we emit 48 Gt/yr: we need to cut by nearly 5x.
Each year, you act on 2 levers
① Public policy (optional) — you impose a measure on the whole planet. Each policy has both positive effects AND consequences. Read the popup before confirming.

② Decarbonized electricity produced — you build renewable capacity and direct it to a specific sector:
Electricity: replaces coal and gas in power plants
Heavy industry: electric furnaces, green hydrogen for steel
Transport: EV charging, trains
Agriculture: irrigation pumping, grain drying

4% of the global mix = 1450 TWh/yr ≈ 120 EPR reactors or 1000 GW of solar panels. This effort exceeds anything achieved in previous years. Each sector is INDEPENDENT — electricity allocated to Electricity doesn't reduce other sectors.
Warning — this is very hard
Some sectors have an irreducible ceiling (red vertical bar) — a share of their emissions cannot be eliminated with current technology. Even with every policy active, the 10 Gt target remains very hard to reach.

Some policies seem useful but have negligible impact. It's up to you to make the right choices.
